The Optimist's goal is to promote optimism by their activities to make a difference for themselves and for people around them, inspire respect for law, help youth and favor its blossoming. Optimists are people who believe that through positive action in their communities they can create a better tomorrow.

	The 100coeurs have for objective to help persons in need, give immediate help to victims of illness, bad luck, natural catastrophes or sudden disasters and contribute to improve the quality of life for people of L'Orignal and Longueuil.
	The Seigneurie Apartments, built in 1985, is a seniors' residential complex. The 2 storey building has 26 units of 1 and 2 bedrooms including one 2 bedroom apartment for handicapped persons.
